I hope this newsletter finds you all well!

NEWS FROM LOUISA

I am really excited to be a sponser and exhibitor this year at the Birth Choices Expo, run by Homebirth Access Sydney. It is on this coming Friday the 30th October from 6-9pm, and entry is free. It should be a great evening, with information available on all things birth and parenting. For more information I have attached a poster for the evening. I’d love to see you there – come and say hello! Please pass this email on to anyone you think would be interested.

PRECONCEPTION CARE

I recently attended a comprehensive seminar on enhancing fertility for both women and men. I can now offer the most up to date information on preconception care for both of you. What I found really interesting was this seminar (finally!!) paid attention to improving male reproductive health, as this is JUST as important as paying attention to the woman’s health. Currently and with good reason, there is a focus on antioxidants, especially for the guys, as sperm can be susceptible to damage. The beauty of many of our herbs is that they are wonderful broad spectrum antioxidants while also improving reproductive function. For more information, or to discuss your plans please feel free to contact me.

FOCUS ON…

Believe it or not, Spring is here and Summer is on the way and that means it is Detox time!

The change of season into the coming warmer months is an ideal time to rev up a sluggish system that has slowed down during winter.

I have developed a detox plan that is food based - no fasting, no juicing, as this contradicts my beliefs in what nurtures the body. It is easy to follow with a 3 stage plan - how you go into a detox, and how you come out of it are just as important as the actual detox – and this is all incorporated into the detox plan.

By doing a detox you will find:

Energy levels improve
You may lose a bit of weight
Skin clears
Niggling health problems can lessen or clear such as digestive issues, fatigue, muscle aches and pains, menstrual problems like period pain.
You will feel grounded and centred as you are paying attention to yourself

"I’ve tried detox programs in the past and have found going ‘cold turkey’ with all of my favourite foods and drinks really hard and very taxing on my body, particularly whilst still running a fast and busy lifestyle. But the detox program I did with Louisa was fantastic as I slowly eliminated foods and drinks, eventually narrowing my intake down to the whole foods that Louisa recommended. Lou’s recipe and meal suggestions really helped and were very easy to prepare. The day by day instructions made it really clear as to what foods I could eat and start re-introducing into my diet. I felt so healthy, grounded and incredibly clear headed. It was the kind of detox that was so enjoyable and kind to my body, that I didn’t feel like diving back into old habits on my final detox day. Actually, I still include many of the foods in my daily diet now. I can’t recommend Louisa’s detox program enough!"

Plan to do it soon and set yourself up for a fabulous summer!
Doing a detox plan such as this one acts as a catalyst for positive change in your food habits, it will get you started in developing food habits which are lasting and long term.

Thank you for taking the time to read my newsletter, I hope to see you soon.

Good health and happiness to you all,
Louisa
