Health – the fundamentals:
Ok, regardless of where you are on your health journey (if you are on one or not), whether you’re sick, consider yourself to be well, or somewhere in between, there are a few health fundamentals, that no matter how hard we try to ignore them, they are there and they are there to stay.
5/ Stress management
The body has an incredible ability to bring us back into a state of health – if we give it the right environment (cue the health fundamentals!).
Sorry guys, but I promise you, regardless of the incredible medicine you take (pharmaceutical, or complementary), without adhering to the fundamentals, you will always be taking one step forward and two steps back.
ON A POSTIVE NOTE, as humans we have ‘wiggle room’ with how strict we are with these health fundamentals :).
As we discuss each section, you will learn more about the importance to YOU and your current circumstances (yes, you will need to take a look at yourself here – gulp), and things that you can do to improve these areas.
Just remember, we get healthy to improve the quality of our lives, not for the sake of a trend, a wild rumour or in competition with others.
Let’s strip away the crap and get back to the heart of REAL health….the health that makes you feel good, ‘fills your cup’ (so you then can fill others around you and actually enjoy it!) and makes you feel proud of yourself.
Lets get back to taking care of our health from a place of self-love, not self-condemnation.
Lets put aside ‘dr google’ and stop taking advice from those not qualified to give it (I would never try and give you tax advice, would you take health advice from an accountant?).
I will be sharing my passion with you, a lot of research and textbook knowledge, but also a lot of what has worked for me in clinical practice and my own life, so here we go!
